Summary
The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, executing and overseeing the social media strategy and day-to-day activities for NASM and AFAA brands. The key objective of this role is to ensure that all social media efforts align with overall communication, marketing, and sales strategies, and that the company remains at the forefront of effectively leveraging social technology. The ideal candidate has a passion for fitness, a data-driven mindset and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate effectively and solve problems creatively.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategy, execution and oversight for community engagement, paid programs, and integrated inbound marketing campaigns across social media, SEO, and content marketing in order to build brand awareness, cultivate leads and drive sales. * Work cross-functionally with internal team as well as agency partners to establish and maintain a content calendar. * Write copy for social media platforms and campaigns. * Leverage insights and analytics to drive decisions about optimizing social strategies. * Regularly monitor, analyze, review, and report on appropriate metrics to track and measure ROI on all social media efforts and spend. * Engage in social listening and research to make recommendations about content creation and community engagement. * Develop social media best practices manual, guidelines and training materials. * Supervise the daily activities of the Digital Marketing Specialist. * Keep abreast of latest development of social media best practices, trends, tools and recommend new strategies with meaningful measurements. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field plus 5+ years professional experience in managing social media activities on behalf of a business or group. * Background and knowledge working in a lead and sales driven organization a plus. * High level of proficiency with all major social media platforms; experience using social media scheduling, distribution and monitoring tools. * Demonstrated ability to map out social marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics. * Expert in social content development and paid social media. * An excellent understanding of analytics tools and SEO best practices. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others. * Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects while working effectively under the pressure of last minute deadlines and changing priorities. * Takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, with a willingness to assist. * Demonstrated exceptional judgment and discretion.
