Summary
AppNexus is looking for a talented, intellectually curious, ambitious, team-player who has the tenacity to deliver results for the Client Finance Team as a Senior Billing Analyst. This position is responsible for creating, processing and reviewing monthly invoices for multiple entities, processing revenue recognition journal entries, preparing general ledger reconciliations, updating and reviewing static data maintenance and providing necessary support to external auditors. This position requires someone who can continue to evolve processes and systems to keep up with a rapidly growing and changing business; as well as organize data and uncover key insights and trends. The Senior Billing Analyst will report to the Manager, Client Finance.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for custom client contracts ensuring invoices are correct and revenue is recognized appropriately * Lead efforts to operationalize new custom client contracts * Review and process monthly billings for legacy products * Work with internal systems team to automate custom client contracts * Manage process ensuring client data and terms flow from CRM system to billing system to general ledger enabling system billing * Process journal entries to properly record revenue, deferred revenue and other related items * Perform general ledger account reconciliations as part of the month end closing process * Assist in providing necessary support to external auditors * Provide information to other departments as necessary (e.g. revenue per jurisdiction to enable tax fillings, etc.) * Ad hoc projects and analysis as necessary
Ideal Candidate
* BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics * 3+ years of relevant experience required * Strong analytical expertise * Ability to work independently and execute firm deadlines * Highly organized and can manage numerous tasks simultaneously * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency with MS Office, mainly Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint * Experience with enterprise level ERP required (Infor/Sun experience a plus) * Experience in the Technology and/or Marketing Industry is a large plus, especially AdTech **More about you:** * You are passionate about a culture of learning and teaching.
