Summary
The Client Service Center (CSC) is designed to provide assistance to American National's policyholders requesting service while their agent is out of office, after normal business hours, or during holidays. Client Specialists are responsible for taking a large volume of inbound calls from policyholders and other third parties. Client Specialists may act as the primary contact, working on the agents' behalf, or answering questions posed by the clients.
Responsibilities
It is the Client Specialist's responsibility to keep agents informed of any activity that occurs in reference to the agent's policyholder. Client Specialists will email agents While You Were Out (WYWO) notifications that are documented in SAM after handling phone calls. Client Specialists are responsible for following underwriting guidelines, regulations, and understanding state specific information for any new and/or changing business applications, submitted on behalf of the agent's office. Client Specialists will assist with overall underwriting functions by providing assistance with reinstatements lapsed policies and acting as field agents in order to resolve issues. In addition, Client Specialists will responsible for maintaining current state-specific knowledge such as state ratings, while also understanding the state-rating programs and to which discounts they should apply. Client Specialists will also communicate insured risk changes to Underwriting and Underwriting management.
Ideal Candidate
* Education Equivalent: High school diploma required; 4-year college degree preferred Licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance preferred * Specific Knowledge: 2 years' experience in the insurance industry or extensive customer service background (preferably industry-related/call center environment) Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook * Comprehensive benefits package * Annual performance reviews and planning of career objectives * Educational opportunities, including tuition reimbursement plan * Active community involvement * Health and Wellness Program including on-site wellness coach * 5 hour work week * Business casual attire
