We are currently seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our growing team. The Compliance Analyst serves as the focal point for insurance compliance and claims analyst activities. Coordination and communication are the key functions of the Compliance Analyst with regard to planning, implementing, and monitoring the compliance functions
Responsibilities
**Compliance duties and responsibilities:** * Lead, direct, develops/assess compliance initiatives for the general operation of the company. * Develop, assist, monitor, and implement various process improvement initiatives. * Monitor and respond to compliance and complaint issues with department of insurance and compliance issues within company. * Maintain relationships with the Department of Insurance representatives, including but not limited to, the Consumer Affairs Division and Insurance Regulatory Division of each state's D of I. Point person for any market conduct examination and/or other Department of Insurance inquiries, both formal and informal. * Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers. * Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness. **Analyst duties and responsibilities:** * Lead, direct, develop, and report on various claim and underwriting process audits. * Develop, analyze, and interpret operational trends and metrics. * Develop, assist, monitor, and implement various process improvement initiatives. * Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in claims handling and/or management, as well as knowledge of underwriting practices for auto insurance carriers required * • Bachelor's degree required * • A minimum of 3-5 years of compliance, audit and / or related experience * • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills * • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously * Must consistently demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic * Excellent communication and written skills * Ability to make independent decisions and use proper judgment. * Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
