Responsibilities
Pennybacker Capital is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join its dynamic, entrepreneurial team located in Austin, Texas. Pennybacker Capital is a rapidly growing real estate private equity firm that invests in retail, office, multifamily and industrial assets in select growth markets of the United States. Pennybacker’s stellar reputation of performance and integrity has produced a stable investor base ranging from major institutions to high net worth individuals and family offices. We are looking for a highly motivated, qualified professional with a proven track record of achievement and teamwork to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will share Pennybacker’s philosophy of integrity, transparency and honesty. **Essential Functions:** - Performance reporting including asset and fund level performance data analyses and comparisons for internal management and external investor reporting - Communicate with joint venture partners to gather asset financial and performance data metrics for each investment - Maintain and update internal database of investment level data - Maintain and update internal fund performance models - Monthly and quarterly reporting including website updates on investments, quarterly letter to investors and quarterly investor conference call presentation slides - Perform quarterly specialized performance reporting to institutional investors - Assist in quarterly investment valuation calculations - Assist in preparation of annual investor meeting presentation - Support Investments Team by providing various asset performance metrics for underwriting new investments - Perform ad hoc reporting as requested by management
Ideal Candidate
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in finance, accounting or economics - Strong technical skills in accounting and finance with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. CPA preferred but not required - 2+ years of work experience in public accounting, banking, commercial real estate or other investment/finance related area; exposure to real estate a plus - Confident under pressure and comfortable meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills - Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities - Team player who is comfortable being in a support role and comfortable accepting and providing constructive feedback - Strong oral and written communication skills
