Summary
As a Manager of Product Management, you will drive Akamai’s evolving Service & Support product line. In this role, reporting to the Director of Delivery Excellence & Product Management, you will drive the continued growth of our services revenue & corporate revenue globally. More specifically, you will manage a team of Product Managers, as well as lead the identification and execution of key services products. You will be challenged to anticipate and monitor the industry trends and gather insight from customers in order to bring new and innovative capabilities to the market. Your relentless focus on improving customer satisfaction, increasing usage and adoption and creating value for Akamai and our customers will be a unique asset. With a deep understanding of our technology landscape, you will develop the strategy and plans that will continue to set Akamai apart as an industry leader. With those plans in mind, you will interact and collaborate with our Sales and Services organization to deploy and evolve our portfolio of services.
Responsibilities
* Develop the Services Product strategy for the organization in order to scale the business. * Manage the P&L of our Services business, working with multiple parties, against financial and business metrics. * Manage team of Service and Support Product Managers, providing guidance and insight into launch of new products and ongoing ownership of existing products. * Manage Service and Support products through their product life cycle, identifying product evolution and upgrade strategies, as well as end of life strategies. * Provide thought leadership and vision for our next generation of Services Products. * Develop and roll out plans to gather customer insights and requirements based on current and future market trends. * Develop strong collaboration internally with stakeholders such as Product Marketing, Sales, Channels, Services and Support and Network Operations to operationalize the delivery of services globally and by segment. * Act as thought leader to define or modify products and requirements in order to ensure superb customer satisfaction and significant revenue contribution. * Enable and evangelize the portfolio internally and externally, and attend relevant industry trade-shows and sponsorship events
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree required * 5+ years experience in a Product Management and/or Product Development role * 3+ years of experience working in the High-Tech industry, preferably in a Services and Support Capacity * 1+ years of experience Managing people **Desired Qualifications** * Experience working in a Services and Support capacity. * Track record of creating unique customer insights and convert them into replicable, scalable, profitable service offers. * Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills. * Proven results building successful products, services and businesses. * Demonstrated experience leading product, marketing and delivery teams. * Situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations. * Ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities. * Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. * Action oriented and results driven. **Other Information** * Is relocation available for this position:No * Is US Citizenship required:No * Is a Security Clearance Required:No * If yes, applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation & must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
