Responsibilities
**Sales** * Responsible for sales of CAP bulk agreements. Responsible for renewal of CAP bulk agreements. * Responsible for the scheduling appropriate communication with Associations and residents * Identify residential developments/community associations for potential sale of bulk monitoring and service agreements * Calculate the cost of conversion or equipment/parts and labor to upgrade utilizing calculation tools. Agree on a proposal rate with the Director – Community Association Program. * Create and submit proposals to community association manager (“CAM”) and board members for new and renewal bulk agreements. Work to extend existing agreements through Addendums that provide mutual benefits. * Make sales presentations to CAM and board members and negotiate terms of new and renewal agreements * Modify ADT’s basic bulk agreement to include agreed upon terms. Respond to Association’s board and legal comments to achieve language acceptable to ADT and Association in order to obtain an executed agreement. * Organize and oversee security rollout to new communities. Coordinate with operations and customer service. * Oversee membership in community association and security director organizations and participation in related tradeshows and events, including booth and advertising. * Enroll, set up and participate in trade shows and networking events to promote ADT and identify leads. * Cultivate business relationships with CAMs and management companies to promote ADT and ongoing business. **Maintain Customer Relationships – Community Involvement** * Meet with CAM/board as needed to ensure satisfaction, discuss items related to service and meeting their needs * Conduct “Town Hall” security meetings in existing communities to discuss services provided, system operation, system communication, enhancements, life safety, interactive services, provide security tips and conduct Q & A. * Attend community and charitable events, promoting ADT through attendance and sponsorship. * Ensure ongoing communication with CAMs to assist with any security related needs or concerns, answer questions or initiate investigations as requested. Activities are in conjunction with those of Community Association Liaison. * Work with ADT CAP Customer Service Supervisor, CAP Project Manager and Director – Community Association Program regarding conversion of new communities, upgrade programs and any extra assistance needed regarding service and customer care, etc. * Oversee dissemination of reports requested by the Association * Disseminate information (with board approval) about ADT to educate residents, encourage alarm testing, promote update of information and awareness of ESP programs, optional equipment, etc. through mailings to residents. * Travel to Community Associations and other areas as required. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Education/Certification:** * Bachelor’s degree **Experience:** * 3-5 years’ experience in outside sales * Understanding of Community Associations and bulk agreements preferred * Proven history of developing referral relationships as well as self-generated sales. **Skills:** * Extensive experience in writing and creating sales proposals * Excellent negotiating skills * Basic legal knowledge to be able to create agreements and addendum documents and negotiate terms * Extensive knowledge of electronic security operations (including monitoring), security equipment and services * Professional reading, writing and math and advanced typing skills * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to analyze data and provide recommendations * Ability to be strategic, proactive, resourceful and flexible with a positive, dedicated and passionate attitude * Exceptional organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously * Must have PC knowledge including Word, Excel, and Outlook
