Responsibilities
* Monitors and maintains calibration of instruments and equipment. * Coordinates and/or executes calibration for systems and equipment used by functions within the operations group. This may include RPM/Timers, Pressure/Vacuum, Differential Pressure Indicators, Temperature, Sales/Balances/Load Tests, and other environmental systems. * Ensures all calibrations are performed in a timely manner. * Follows standard calibration procedures per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). * Provides input into the review and revisions of SOP’s. * Documents all work in controlled documents in accordance with SOP’s. * Performs all work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* Education and/or Experience: * A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Bachelor’s degree in a science related or engineering field is preferred. * A minimum of 3 - 5 years of years of related experience in electronics or as a calibration technician is required. * Minimum of one year of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment is required. * Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry preferred. * Must have experience using a Calibration Software system. Experience with CompuCal System Calibration Software (CCS) is preferred. * PMEL (Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratory) experience is preferred. * Supervisory Responsibilities: None * Qualifications: * Familiarity with general lab instrumentation and procedures is preferred. * Mathematical skills including the ability to perform frequent calculations. * Mechanical aptitude. * Must demonstrate appropriate safety consciousness. * Computer Skills: * Must be proficient in MS Office Suite. * Must be familiar with calibration software preferred. * Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: none required * Other Skills and Abilities: * Demonstrates attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and adjust priorities as necessary. * Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work in a fast paced environment. * Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
