Responsibilities
  • Monitors and maintains calibration of instruments and equipment.
  • Coordinates and/or executes calibration for systems and equipment used by functions within the operations group. This may include RPM/Timers, Pressure/Vacuum, Differential Pressure Indicators, Temperature, Sales/Balances/Load Tests, and other environmental systems.
  • Ensures all calibrations are performed in a timely manner.
  • Follows standard calibration procedures per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Provides input into the review and revisions of SOP’s.
    • Documents all work in controlled documents in accordance with SOP’s.
    • Performs all work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
  • Education and/or Experience:
    • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a science related or engineering field is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of years of related experience in electronics or as a calibration technician is required.
    • Minimum of one year of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment is required.
    • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry preferred.
    • Must have experience using a Calibration Software system. Experience with CompuCal System Calibration Software (CCS) is preferred.
    • PMEL (Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratory) experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
  • Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with general lab instrumentation and procedures is preferred.
    • Mathematical skills including the ability to perform frequent calculations.
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Must demonstrate appropriate safety consciousness.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
    • Must be familiar with calibration software preferred.
    • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: none required
  • Other Skills and Abilities:
    • Demonstrates attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and adjust priorities as necessary.
    • Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work in a fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
