Calibration Technician

- Monitors and maintains calibration of instruments and equipment.
- Coordinates and/or executes calibration for systems and equipment used by functions within the operations group. This may include RPM/Timers, Pressure/Vacuum, Differential Pressure Indicators, Temperature, Sales/Balances/Load Tests, and other environmental systems.
- Ensures all calibrations are performed in a timely manner.
- Follows standard calibration procedures per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Provides input into the review and revisions of SOP’s.
- Documents all work in controlled documents in accordance with SOP’s.
- Performs all work in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related or engineering field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of years of related experience in electronics or as a calibration technician is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment is required.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry preferred.
- Must have experience using a Calibration Software system. Experience with CompuCal System Calibration Software (CCS) is preferred.
- PMEL (Precision Measuring Equipment Laboratory) experience is preferred.

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with general lab instrumentation and procedures is preferred.
- Mathematical skills including the ability to perform frequent calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must demonstrate appropriate safety consciousness.

Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Must be familiar with calibration software preferred.

- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and adjust priorities as necessary.
- Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
