Summary
The Finance Manager position is a high exposure role within the U.S. Nutrition Retail business that partners with various levels of leadership within the business to develop the financial projections for the organization (~$3B annually). This is done through frequent contact with Retail Sales customer teams, Directors, Divisional Vice President, Sales Development Managers, ANPD Division and BU Controllers, Brand Analysts, Demand Planning Analysts, General Managers and President.
Responsibilities
* Development of the monthly Retail Sales Projection (RSP), which includes coordinating regular calls with retail teams, consolidation of forecast inputs from retail teams and business units, reviewing and challenging assumptions in team level forecasts, creating brand level retail forecast, and using professional judgment in developing total RSP for supported brands. * Coordinates forecast process and supporting documentation * Connecting the RSP process to the Brand RLBEs and S&OPs by interfacing with Brand personnel, controllers, and demand planning groups for supported brands. Understands and communicates the differences between the RSP and RLBE commitments. * Partnering with Division FP&A and AN Logistics to estimate quarter end results and communicate updates to ANPD leadership. * Continuous monitoring and improvement of the forecasting process as it relates to the accuracy and content of both the physical and technological materials (i.e., tools and templates) and the process itself. * Coordinates and presents Retail Sales S&OP meetings * Provides communication on retail sales projections, rationale and forecast process to all stake-holders for supported brands * Assist in the development & training of Retail Field Sales force analysts * The individual in this position is considered an expert in the field and acts as an advisor to management. * Manages and coordinates the priorities of one sales operations analyst * Other ad-hoc analysis as needed.

* Analytically strong * Able to communicate responses in a clear and concise manner * Able to collaborate and compromise with multiple cross-functional partners * Confident presenting to senior leaders, able to defend their perspective and able to deliver difficult/unfavorable information in a productive manner * Able to develop strong relationships and influence others, including long distance/phone relationships * Operates independently within own scope of responsibility under general supervision * Able to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency when needed, able to prioritize the needs of various customers (retail and BU partners, ANPD leadership, etc.) * Gain extensive knowledge of retail business conditions through interactions with retail sales directors and retail sales teams * 6+ years of progressive finance and/or sales forecasting experience, previous commercial finance or sales analysis experience a plus. * Leadership. This role is not a behind the scenes analytical position. It is a champion for change with strong forecasting skills. The individual will lead directly and indirectly and influence up, down and sideways in the organization. * Proven critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Self starter and highly motivated; ability to manage multiple priorities and changing customer demands. * Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role interacts with multiple levels within the AN organization. * Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment is essential. * Strong PC/system skills: * Excel and PowerPoint expertise is a must. Expert Excel skills and experience a plus. * Ability to construct and maintain databases by importing, exporting and filtering data through tools such as MS Access. Experience with Excel macros a plus. * Advanced ability to develop Ad-Hoc reports using tools such as Cognos and Excel.
