We are looking for a Payments and Risk Analyst to join us in our growing Payments and Risk Management team. The person in this role will possess the ability to be self-sufficient, yet work well cross-functionally with multiple teams (including Engineering, Product, and Customer Support). The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical investigations of credit card fraud, account takeover, phishing, and SPAM. Additionally, this person will play a key role in the company by collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to the management team to help facilitate improvements in the function of the 99designs marketplace platform.
Responsibilities
Manage payment flows to graphic designers whose work has been purchased by customers on the 99designs platform Answer payment related queries from customers and designers Review, investigate, and resolve irregular transactions to minimize fraud and perform ongoing review of irregular transaction activity reported internally and externally Identify potential issues on the 99designs web platform which may affect payments and communicate those to the 99designs engineering and support teams, including analysis of trends in customer and designer activity to develop risk profiles Work with engineering to develop solutions to identify, capture and alert online fraud related activity (e.g. phishing, spamming) Perform ongoing adhoc analysis as required and assist with email support and other duties as necessary to meet business needs
Ideal Candidate
Minimum 2 years experience in one or more of the following areas or combination thereof: risk management, transactional fraud, fraud operations Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, IT or related technical discipline a plus Solid knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel Analytically minded. You are curious and dive deep into problems High energy and a designer to work in results oriented, fast growth, team – oriented environment Strong communication and presentation skills Customer service focus and experience Ability to work extended or non-traditional hours on occasion to support emergency situations Self-motivated and curious
