Summary
The person hired for this role will be responsible to plan and coordinate Testing and Quality activities and support Validation activities across a wide variety of applications and solutions within 3M’s portfolios. This position requires knowledge and experience applying testing best practices and experience with testing tools and methodology. The role requires the ability to work with cross-functional teams from different businesses and countries. The ability of this person to organize testing activities and communicate with key stakeholders will help ensure success in the IT Quality Services organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead or coordinate testing activities including: Test Planning, Test Development, Test Execution, Test Review, Defect Triage and Test Reporting - Lead or coordinate test phases including Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, User Acceptance Testing - Assist with validation activities for multiple projects in various phases: Validation Execution, Quality Maintenance, Training & Education and Health Care Compliance - Oversee User Acceptance Testing for both validated & non-validated applications - Monitor use of IT Global Standard Operating Procedures (GSOPs) and application specific SOPs - Promote adherence to best practice tools & processes for testing and quality management - Assist in the compilation & presentation of the overall quality status to stakeholders - Facilitate & coordinate Quality Review meetings - Perform quality reviews of test results, defect analysis and test cases to ensure adherence to established quality standards - Work with functional area application leads to investigate and verify effective solutions to process issues
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree or higher or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university - Minimum of one (1) year of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Testing and/or Validation experience **Preferred Qualifications:** - One or more (1+) years of experience creating and maintaining a Quality and/or Test Plan - One or more (1+) years of experience planning for and coordinating application testing - One or more (1+) years of combined experience work with a global implementation project and/or with SAP, Salesforce.com, or Workday software - Experience working with or leading off-shore testing resources - Experience working in a regulated environment (SOX, FDA, etc) subject to compliance controls - One or more (1+) years of experience working with Quality Test Tools – HP Quality Center (ALM), ReqPro, ClearQuest, ClearCase, RQM - Strong Organizational and communication skills, proven track record of strong project coordination/management success - Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs - Strong skills in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
