Summary

Software/Systems engineer to support several F/A-18 aircraft software projects. Projects are multi-year efforts, in support of the USN,USMC, and FMS customers. Products may be in either a real-time embedded software environment or non-real-time environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform requirements analysis and functional allocation, implement allocated requirements through software design, code, and test support.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve reported software anomalies.
  • Participate in product inspections through each phase of the software lifecycle.
  • Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.
  • Provide design reviews and milestone status presentations as assigned.
Ideal Candidate

Required Skills:

  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering is required; however other disciplines, such as Electronic Engineer, with strong software experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • Skills should include some of the following: Assembly Language (AYK-14 and 8086), UML, ADA, C++, Jovial, Perl, and Unix.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with PVCS (Dimensions), Clear Case, Clear Quest, Doors, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in some of the following areas: Mil-STD-1553B, VAPS, CMMI, Real Time Operating systems, various data links (VMF, Link-16, Tadil-J), Aircraft Navigation/Communication, Mil-STD-1760 (Weapons), Mission Planning Systems, and Tactical RADARs.
