Summary
The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of transactions, account analyses and reconciliations within GAAP guidelines. He/she will have a role in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and SEC filings.
Responsibilities
* Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliation. * Coordinate monthly internal reporting and analysis packages, including interaction with the business unit finance teams to streamline processes and improve content. * Preparation of journal entries in support of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. * Perform monthly analysis and US GAAP adjustments on various non-US locations. * Perform forecast, budget & prior year variance analyses on monthly balance sheets, income statements, and changes in financial position. * Preparation and distribution of monthly and/or quarterly reports for Corporate Controller, CFO and BOD. * Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and footnotes in press releases and Form 8-K, 10-Q and 10-K filed with SEC. * Technical accounting research. * Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget. * Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * Two to five years of experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting or with a multi-national company * Strong organizational, problem solving/analytical skills and attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels management * Proficient with Microsoft Office products (including advanced knowledge of Excel), and the use of information systems; ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly * Ability to work cross functionally, independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions * Perform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasks * Self-motivated. Follow up on and take ownership of all outstanding issues on a timely basis * Commitment to strict deadlines * Experience in journal entry preparation, auditing and balance sheet reconciliation preferred * Experience with SEC reporting and/or XBRL is preferred, but not required
