Summary
The Manager of Business Operations Analysis reports to the Director, Business Operations Analysis, and serves as the “business manager” or internal consultant, leading a team of analysts in order to provide operational and strategic support to Admissions and Marketing management for 4-7 business units. In this capacity, the manager will be accountable for, but not limited to, all of the following: data, process, analysis, reporting, forecasting, project management, testing, and continuous improvement. This is a supervisory role, with the expectation that the manager will lead his or her team to accomplish on-going and ad hoc tasks and projects, but will ultimately be responsible for their completion. This is a data driven role requiring a quantitative orientation, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong inter-personal and collaborative skills are an absolute must in order to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities
* Serves as primary point-of-contact for all marketing and admissions requests related to operational changes, data analysis, and reporting needs. Works with relevant stakeholders to analyze the efficacy of any changes and implement as necessary. * Guide team to develop action plans to mitigate risks to business operations and action plans to take advantage of available opportunities for further efficiency and growth. Works with admissions and marketing stakeholders in order to implement these plans through the appropriate channels. * Seeks out opportunities for automating processes and works with appropriate stakeholders to develop such automation. * Acts as an escalation point for questions and requests from matrix level stakeholders related to development and enhancement requests for our CRM & related platforms. * Oversee the performance for marketing and admissions conversion campaigns through utilization of supplemental marketing analytics tools. * Escalation point for managing key inter- & intra-departmental processes in the recruitment and registration cycle. Serves as the first-line gate keeper for projects coming into the business operations analysis team for business units within their purview. * Works with team director and Data Operations team to ensure that processes within their business units are built maintaining data integrity & compliance standards. * Provide guidance on KPIs & evaluation criteria used to maximize efficiency & productivity. * Determine strategy for effective test plans & evaluation of results. * Manages a team of support analysts to accomplish the above responsibilities. Delegates these responsibilities to team as appropriate. * Use reporting tools (i.e. Tableau) to develop ad hoc reports that measure overall business unit performance. * Utilizes organizational tools and project management software to keep team on task, and completing deliverables in a timely and predictable manner.
Ideal Candidate
**Things That Should Be in Your Background:** * 3 years of relevant analytical and operational work required. * 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in an analytical or operations organization preferred. Masters degree in quantitative field or a Master of Business Administration may serve as a substitute for work experience. * Bachelor’s degree is required, with a concentration in mathematical, analytical, or business field preferred (i.e.: Economics, Math, Computer Science, Political Science). Masters degree not required but strongly preferred. * Great communication and interpersonal skills. * Prior experience managing and providing mentorship to a team of analysts. * Proven experience implementing process improvement initiatives with a positive yield to operational efficiency. * Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail. * Advanced Excel skills required, advanced database skills strongly preferred. * Basic-to-intermediate SQL knowledge preferred. * Demonstrated ability to drive opportunities for improvement and make constructive plans for change. **Other Attributes That Will Help You in This Role:** * Previous experience using Salesforce CRM system. * The ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information in a tactful manner. * Well-developed sense of discretion regarding access to sensitive information. * Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an environment of constant change.
