Zype is the video distribution service for OTT. We are dedicated to making it easy for content owners to connect directly with their audiences on every screen. With Zype, content owners can own and accelerate all aspects of video distribution direct to consumer.
Summary
The Account Executive will work inside the Zype Sales team and be responsible for selling cloud video distribution software to video content owners. This role reports to the Director of Inside Sales based in New York City. The focus will be on managing and closing inbound marketing qualified leads. The Account Executive will start as a trailblazing individual contributor with upward mobility in other opportunities at Zype. This position will be based out of our New York City office, and will be conducting sales via telephone, email, and web conference with limited to no travel and be required to maintain detailed statistics and reporting in Salesforce and other internal tools.
Responsibilities
* Close new business that fits with Zype’s target customer profile via inbound lead conversion * Develop and execute communication plans to leads, prospects, and customers * Walk customers through interactive demos, clearly articulating the Zype value proposition and the uniqueness of our end to end solution * Use Salesforce, Marketo, and other sales and marketing tools, build proposals, get electronic signatures, and transition sales to customer success for delivery. * Report and be held accountable for objectives and key results including pipeline and quota on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis * Comfortable with cold calling, web demos and working with clients from a remote location * Work with marketing to identify Zype sales opportunities, manage inside sales leads and funnel as well as effectively continue to grow Zype’s sales funnel * Successfully handoff customers to Zype Customer Success team
Ideal Candidate
* Worked in a account management or sales related role in the Software as a Service (SaaS), PaaS, or IaaS space for 2+ years, including closing add on or new business * Willingness to work hard and be awesome * Excellent writing skills (seriously, you should love and be proud of your writing ability) * Proven track record helping customers find success with software * Experience with proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with decision-makers from a remote location using email, phone, and web conferencing tools. * Solutions and consultative based selling experience a big plus * Super comfortable and embracing of technology - basic web development or mobile app development exposure a big plus * Proficient with Google Apps and Salesforce * Must be comfortable working in a dynamic and challenging environment * Currently live and work in NYC area * 4 Year Degree required
