Summary
The Communications team is in search of a professional who has d emonstrated success in a fast-paced media relations environment with leadership experience in both Public Relations strategy development and implementation. You will help shape the way the world sees Xerox by building, maintaining and protecting our corporate reputation. Your experience as a strategic thinker and communications innovator will elevate our public profile with influencers through tactical communications programs. Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a forward-thinking global external communications plan, integrating public relations, marketing communications and reputation management programs that demonstrate Xerox position as global leader in business process services, printing equipment, software and solutions. * Engage stakeholders – both internal and external- and create advocacy for the company’s brand * Oversee operational performance of programs, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence * Generate creative ideas and help to lead multiple programs simultaneously * Create unified messaging/programs and campaigns in a matrixed organization * Cross-functional collaboration with internal government/public affairs and public sector teams * Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners * Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans * Work with agency staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews * Contribute to company growth through new business opportunities * Build network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations * Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills
Ideal Candidate
* At least seven years of public/media relations experience * Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and serve as a trusted advisor * Ability to lead in matrixed business structure * Strong strategist * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; work and make decisions independently and under pressure * Adept in media relations, crisis, issues and reputation management * Excellent verbal and written communications * Well-developed point of view in all aspects of digital and social communications * Ability to measure PR programs
