Summary
Through problem solving and product knowledge, this position is responsible for major projects occurring at the corporate and plant level. Projects could range from new equipment, procurement and installation; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. The Engineering Projects Manager is typically viewed as the subject matter expert in one or more engineering fields (environmental, mechanical, industrial mechanics, galvanizing, etc.). Key position results include but are not limited to, on time delivery of projects, and accurate and timely problem resolution. This position will require a highly analytical communicator with excellent organizational, prioritizing and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
* Maintains spare parts inventory and able to manage part procurement and purchasing * Communicate with all levels of engineering, production management, and maintenance personnel * Can fill in for supervisor/manager with desire to lead maintenance teams * Capital project installation with experience as project manager * Experience with TPM * Experience with continuous improvement * Trouble shoots equipment and production problems through root cause analysis. * Visits plants and scrutinizes current and future projects for accuracy and employ cost effective measures. * Coaches, mentors, and trains project engineers. Other duties as assigned. * 5-10 years of experience in maintenance/ facilities engineering

* Strong project management/time management skills * Knowledge of codes and specs (i.e. DOT, TC, ASME, SAE, NFPA, CGA, etc.) * Works well as a team player or individually with minimal supervision * Problem solver adaptable to the changing needs of the situation/customer * Understanding the products produced at each facility and the capabilities of each facility * Solid computer background including MS Office, AutoCAD, research skills * Product and process design techniques (i.e. APQP, Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.) * Strong analytical skills * Strong managerial skills * Strong oral and written communications * Adept at building trusting relationships * Ability to motivate and convince others * Ability to think strategically * Strong organizational skills * Strong attention to detail * Strong work ethic * Excellent prioritizing skills **Education/Training Required:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience * 5-10 years of experience * Project Management Training (familiar with MS project, Gantt Charts, PM theories)
