Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is Canada's leading provider of simple, effective, and accessible occupational health and safety training materials. We offer online training for individuals and businesses, classroom training and custom training development.
Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Outbound Sales Representative to sell occupational health and safety training and products to companies in the Central and Southern Ontario region. This position reports to the Director of Training and Partnerships. The position is commissioned and provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization based on proven performance.
Responsibilities
* Sell online-based and instructor led occupational health and safety training and products to potential customers in assigned geographical area. * Meet all monthly and quarterly sales objectives and sales goals. * Implement and assist in developing marketing and sales strategies. * Develop and maintain a customer universe and targeted call schedule. * Must be able to attend trade shows and annual conferences as determined.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience & Proficiencies:** * Demonstrated success, with established business relationships * Demonstrated sales results and cold calling experience a must. * Solid understanding of customer focused selling skills, the ability to demonstrate strong product knowledge and handle sales resistance issues. * Must be motivated, willing to work on development and have excellent prioritization and organization skills. * Demonstrated solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization. * Results oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to work independently while keeping direct supervisor abreast of project status. * Exhibit strong customer service through customer involvement. **Qualifications:** * Sales experience preferred * Area resident a requirement (only local candidates will be considered). * Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. * Bachelor's Degree preferred. **Additional Proficiencies:** * **Business Acumen** - Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. * **Time Management** - Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; values time; concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities; gets more done in less time than others; can attend to a broader range of activities. * **Action Oriented** - Enjoys working hard; is action oriented and full of energy for the things he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes more opportunities than others.
