Summary
The Supply Chain Planner is part of the Global Supply Chain Planning team and will focus on supporting the Pain Management and Deep Brain Stimulation Franchises within the Neuromodulation division. This cross-functional role provides the unique opportunity to work within the Divisional Global Supply Chain Planning team, and involvement in strategic projects that have a corporate wide impact. The involvement in activities and tasks that range from strategic to tactical spectrum of the supply chain decision matrix requires high performance individuals that can quickly adapt to requirements of the task at hand, a self-motivated independent thinker and problem-solver, with strong work ethics, attention to details and desire to produce accurate work outputs. This may range from creative out of the box thinking, consulting skills, project management, coordinating and planning, to skillful manipulation and detailed analysis of large amounts of data. The Planner is also expected be efficient in working with the systems and tools that support the various business functions. The ideal candidate is also highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Global Supply Chain and Business Teams to ensure timely and accurate executive of the Demand, Supply and Inventory Plans - Develop content and material for Sales and Operations Planning meetings and participate in analyzing and resolving issues impacting supply chain performance - Analyze supply chain performance and diagnose key improvement areas to forecast accuracy, shelf life, supply variability, service level, backorder and EE&O - Build and maintain methodology and tools for on-going analysis - Develop metrics and metric reporting tools, including reporting tool sets for varying levels of local and Corporate Management - Define and implement improvement opportunities for current processes and systems - Maintain and update key information and data in core IT applications - Lead Corporate projects, develop the approach, communicate plans and tasks to divisional and global participants, manage project to timelines, and achieve project goals - Work with IS team to define and test core IT applications - Operations technical member on core project and extended teams from concept through launch - Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement, supporting BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for areas supporting
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree, Business, Mathematics or related field - Analytical skills, including ability to structure and perform data analysis - Advanced problem solving skills, including data-based decision-making - Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Access and Power Point - Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems - Working knowledge of MRP, DRP, forecasting processes
