Summary
We are looking for a highly strategic, driven, and analytical Director, Strategy and Business Ops to join our team. You will partner with our business units to tackle high priority questions for our organization, including performance management, strategic initiatives and data analytics. As the leader of SoFi’s Strategy / Biz Ops team, you will have an incredible opportunity to have a big impact on a fast growing company.
Responsibilities
* Drive visible strategic projects for SoFi – such as developing the go-to-market strategy for a new product, optimizing the performance of current acquisition channels, and analyzing operational processes to improve customer conversion * Use quantitative analysis to drive business decisions * Work with business owners to develop metrics, processes, and dashboards to monitor and understand drivers of marketing performance * Be an active member of the marketing leadership team. Running reviews and meetings across the business to drive accountability. * Maintain/create core reporting and analytics infrastructure and models while proactively surfacing opportunities * Autonomously handle ad-hoc requests from the business * Analyze current business performance and build statistical models to extrapolate current and historical trends into forward-looking forecasts * Provide deep analytic support and business context to identify and drive critical growth initiatives * Conduct revenue analysis to identify trends and factors of growth * Demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes and decisions (not just report on analytics) * Monitor forecasts and benchmark performance while understanding the sources of deviation * Analyze large datasets and partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to interpret findings and identify actionable insights and opportunities
Ideal Candidate
* BS or MS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other quantitative field from top tier university * 2+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or planning experience required * Experience in investment banking/finance or strategy consulting with a focus on technology and/or media is highly desirable * Fluency in SQL or other programming languages, Excel, and statistical data analysis. Some development experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.) * Exceptional ability to problem-solve individually or in a group setting and understand key financial drivers of the business * Ability to design, lead and execute analysis and effectively communicate insights * Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining a high degree of organization and control * Highly motivated, and able to think clearly under pressure * Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skill
