Summary
VSCO is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our strategic partnership efforts. This person is passionate about technology, connecting people through technology, and developing business strategy. They will be responsible for negotiating partnerships that enhance our product offerings, generate new revenue streams, drive distribution of VSCO services, generate new users for the company, empower and elevate the creatives on our platform, and otherwise add value to the VSCO user experience.
Responsibilities
* Serve as our first business development lead, dedicated to growing VSCO’s user base and engagement through partnerships, focusing on three areas of investment: * Developing strategic partnerships that generate new business with F1000 brands * Managing broad relationships with key partners (Apple, Google, Amazon, etc) * Working with marketing to manage creative partnerships (the more creative the better) * Partner with advertisers to build and execute effective campaigns, measure results, and renew/up-sell to drive revenue growth * Work effectively cross-functionally, building relationships with various internal teams ranging from product to marketing to legal * Work closely with Marketing to build and continually improve our business story and value proposition * Represent VSCO in meetings with executives from partner companies * Be a source of deep insights about the industry and global ecosystem partners * Collaborate with partners throughout the development process, ensuring that engagements support VSCO’s goals and the partners * Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience * 5+ years experience in partnerships, working with big brands and advertising agencies * Deep expertise of brand marketing, content marketing and digital media * Proven track record in sales and achieving revenue results * Experience generating new business leads and building a pipeline for growth * Established relationships with marketing decision makers at brands and agencies * Track record demonstrating an ability to develop and grow a book of business * Vertical expertise - particularly Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Fashion, Music, Travel * Excellent communication and presentation skills **Nice to have** * Industry experience in licensing and commissioning * Passion for VSCO and our mission
