DevOps Engineer

To date, we've promoted more than 75,000 global video campaigns across our network of more than 100,000 publishing properties on desktop and mobile web, through our unique and sophisticated video ad units. We use innovative tech and we’re always open for new services that can make it better. **Goals:** Our goal is to maintain 99.9% uptime and DevOps plays an integral part in accomplishing this. In this role, you will help to stabilize our infrastructure to decrease downtime as well and introduce new ideas and tools to improve our current setup.

* Orchestrating: configure, run, monitor and polish Virool services and requisites. * Troubleshoot and do performance analyzing. * Make the world better. :) * Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

**Required skills, technologies & experiences:** * Linux (our environment is based on Ubuntu Linux). * Ruby or Python with Bash (Ruby prefered). * One or more configuration management tools: Chef, Saltstack, Puppet, CFengine, Ansible… (Chef and Saltstack are prefered). * Should also know the standard environment software set like DNS, DHCP, NTP, MTA... etc services). * Strong experience in nginx. * Strong knowledge in DBMS: PostgreSQL, Redis. **Preferred skills, technologies & experiences:** * lxc, docker and containers is a nice addition. * Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization: openstack, openvz, vmware, etc. * Experience with cloud providers: Rackspace, AWS, GCE, DO, etc. * Deployment tools usage skills: capistrano or similar. * Experience in JVM tuning. * Hadoop stack is very helpful, also Spark. * Global network knowledge and distributed services building experience. **Key Requirements:** * Understanding of how to build infrastructure for any kind of internet services. * Production pipeline fundamentals knowledge. * Experience building and orchestrating services of hundreds (or more) servers based on heterogeneous environments (i.e. hardware mixed with virtualization, different versions and types OS).
