Summary
Responsible for working with the product team to manage online product development for Viator’s Multi-Lingual and Partner B2C websites. You will work closely with the Sr Product Manager and Director of Product Management to deliver new features and functionality to solve market demands for Viator’s partner and multi-lingual B2C websites. As a Product Manager, you are expected to have keen perspective on development needs, be able to communicate and collaborate with front-end and back-end engineers, and have a proven ability to work collaboratively with business owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. You will work alongside the product team and key business stakeholders to 1) communicate the product roadmap/backlog, 2) develop and refine concise product and functional requirements in agile development framework for front-end, back-end, and platform projects, 3) prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and development results, and 4) participate with design team in product design and user research.
Responsibilities
* Partner as a product owner on the Partner/Multi-Lingual platform with Sr. Product Manager and Director of Product Management. * Interest in internationalization of websites and understanding of differences in foreign markets from the domestic market. * Understand and lead the analysis of the competitive environment, customers, and product metrics to determine the right feature set to drive engagement and usage. * Work with the product development team and other cross-functional team members to bring features live to the site * Translate business and stakeholder needs into concise development themes and epics, then collaborate with development team to translate to user stories with acceptance criteria. * Use consumer and market research, partner and consumer feedback, and competitive analysis to develop a deep understanding of target market and user base. Socialize learnings across the product team and stakeholders to ensure application in business and product decisions. * Work collaboratively with other members of the product management team to set the strategy and then to apply to a product roadmap and plan. * Become a subject matter expert in the Partner/Multi-Lingual product domains, specifically in regards to features and functionality. * Build rapport with key stakeholders to understand marketing/business needs with a laser-like focus on improving user engagement and conversion. * Use Adobe Analytics and other analytics tools to evaluate site performance, track the impact of new features and functionality, and identify areas of opportunity * Work with UX, Engineering and Project Management to manage delivery and work collaboratively to meet all established and agreed-upon timelines and milestones * Communicate the state of projects across teams as well as to executives and customers
Ideal Candidate
* Experience or proficiency with agile development and core tenets of the agile framework. * At least 2-4 years experience in a product management or equivalent role preferably in building consumer web products. * Passionate about building consumer facing internet products through user/data analysis and competitive/market-landscape analysis * Comfortable with complex analyses and evaluation of test results * Practical understanding of website management platforms (affiliate, partner administration, etc), web-based tools (content management systems, etc), web and platform design, and user experience best practices. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize. * Work across time and distance barriers to facilitate seamless, unobstructed communication – both within the company and externally * Be prepared to occasionally work out of usual business hours when required to teleconference with Australia or Europe, as necessary * Familiarity with travel industry concepts, practices and procedures a plus * Flexibility to travel to Sydney at least once per year.
