Summary
Nationwide outpatient imaging company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer in Austin, Texas. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) works within an assigned geographical area and is accountable for the daily service repair needs of designated Imaging equipment and for driving customer satisfaction. Working closely with Center Managers and Senior Management the FSE is key to expedites the resolution of service issues and ensures high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment * Service as a second level escalation point for service issues for designated modalities as needed * Maintaining daily communication with center manager, where applicable, and end users directly to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction * Sharing knowledge and coaching other members of the team on an on-going basis * Support the business to achieve product serviceability and reliability, quality trend analysis * Providing remote and on-site technical support to end users * Drive the Material consumption and Purchased Service cost improvement initiatives to reach service cost goals * Leading Installation activities as needed within assigned area, ensuring safety and quality measures are taken * Design, track and complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instruction for each assigned center * Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts and managing cycle times * May include basic/refresher application training of clinical staff on designated equipment * Continually building modality expertise by staying abreast of R&D and new product introductions and other relevant modality enhancements * This position involves working around radiation, machines, electrical machinery, chemicals, unprotected heights and operation of motor vehicles.

**Desired Characteristics** * Previous experience diagnosing and repairing Siemens / GE / Philips CT/MR/XR medical imaging equipment. Demonstrates financial awareness. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military education; Or Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment or Qualified and participated in the formal OEM Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program Or a High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment. * Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process * Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment * Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns * Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products * The company will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
