We’re launching more crowdfunding campaigns per day than any other platform in the world by focusing on what this space will look like in a mobile world. Tilt has raised funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Y-Combinator, and many of the smartest angel investors in the world.
Summary
We are building a social referral system where a local business can sell to their online community and and enable that community to share amazing things to do, see, eat and buy in their neighborhoods. As Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to source and close deals with local merchants who have never worked with Tilt before.
Responsibilities
* Provide primary sales management to a team of Account Executives in the Dallas office * Implement strategic sales training, planning, and forecasting * Take a hands on approach to coach and develop your team into sales superstars * Identify, interview, and hire prospective Account Executive team members * Develop new business opportunities by cold calling and/or visiting a list of merchants to expand the range of offers to our user base * Responsible for achieving daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact * Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers * Utilize knowledge of deal structure and strategy in order to reach merchants’ desired outcomes and maximize profit
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of proven success in a sales environment * Experience selling over the phone, door-to-door and cold calling various types of businesses, local merchants a plus * A strong understanding of how to seed and build communities online (via facebook, instagram, etc). * A demonstrated ability to implement and train sales teams in strategic selling techniques * Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team * Experience developing sales plans and analyzing metrics * An innate ability to thrive in competitive environments, with evidence of personal ambition * Strong negotiation and consultation skills
