Summary
Tillster seeks a highly qualified corporate, hands on Revenue Staff Accountant with strong accounting skills for its venture-backed, rapidly growing business operations with a focus on the revenue lifecycle. We seek a qualified and driven hands-on professional preferably with experience in a high-volume transaction environment, technology/e-commerce industry, start-up, venture-backed funding, and Silicon Valley-type experience. The individual will be hands on, able and willing to be deeply involved in the full spectrum of accounting function from book keeping, to preparation, transmitting, recording and analyzing customer invoices. The individual will also be responsible for assisting with analysis as well as the daily reconciliation of cash and for the related collections activities as required. As required, the individual will coordinate Tillster’s centralized purchasing function and related supply chain activities.
Responsibilities
* Participate in accurate and timely preparation and consolidation of books of accounts for Tillster and its subsidiaries, both domestic and overseas on US GAAP basis * Use propitiatory billing platform to produce accurate and timely monthly customer invoices and statements for review and approval by supervisor * Follow up with customers to collect invoices * Work with clients and financial institutions to process electronic payments for high volume of domestic and international transactions each month * Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues, complete projects, and accurate and timely client billing * Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of key cash and general ledger accounts * Prepare journal entries, process complex transactions, and manage GL account activity in total to ensure balances are recorded and reported in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP * Participate in standard, and ad hoc revenue accounting and GL analysis * Participate in on-going efforts to identify policy, process and system improvements * Responsible for the company’s centralized purchasing activities to ensure adherence to policy * Research and propose alternate vendors for products and services as requested * Coordinate all activities related to cross border movement of physical goods and related resources (logistics) as required to support business activities * Other duties as required or directed
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years’ work experience in a dynamic, high-growth, high-volume technology/e-commerce based business * Solid GAAP knowledge and experience * Demonstrated expert Excel skills * Demonstrated critical-thinking and analytical skills * Excellent organizational and communication skills * High-energy level; self-motivated; hands on attitude, positive “can-do” and “get it done” attitude * BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or closely related field
