Summary
The Project Manager II - Oracle EBS Foundation Program will be responsible for leading and delivering IT projects on-time and on-budget. This particular role will be part of the Finance domain area but will initially be dedicated to the Oracle EBS Foundation Program which is a multi-year program focused on upgrading Oracle EBS, addressing current state gaps, and rolling out Oracle EBS to the remaining TJX divisions. This is a highly visible role on a high priority initiative. This position requires strong knowledge of project management processes as well as previous experience with Oracle EBS implementations. Primary focus is the delivery of the projects that make up the Oracle EBS foundation program. This role will take day to day direction from the TJX program manager and will work in a “two in the box” model with the Systems Integrator. This role will be responsible for ensuring TJX solution delivery processes are followed and will provide project leadership to TJX IT resources.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for delivering new capabilities that drive business results on one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex IT projects and/or programs from initialization through project close. * Leads projects through the defined solution delivery process (SDP). * Effectively partners and influences in order to deliver scalable, optimized solutions. * Leads project and/or program activities and reports on status to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provides desired business value. * Assigns priorities for and coordinates the activities of project staff. * Defines project quality and success criteria. * Supervises multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities. * Responsible for the project and/or program plan, work breakdown structure, and identified critical path. * Accountable for project financials, including baselines, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation * Responsible for timely and effective project communications including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management, and reporting. * Complies with Sarbanes Oxley and PCI. * Manages project change control process with business sponsor ensuring any requested changes to scope are reviewed to assess impact on schedule, cost and resources. * Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. * Plans and schedules project and/or program deliverables, goals, and milestones. * Directs and oversees project and/or program team. * Performs peer document assessments. * Furthers the adoption of project management standards and contributes to the TJX PM community of practice. * May coaches, mentors and develops less senior project managers * Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Experience and Skills** * 5 years minimum experience * Relevant experience in Project Management across multiple complex projects for at least 5 full project life cycles * Knowledge of system development life cycle methodology and project management techniques * Familiarity with financial systems * Ability to handle large project and/or program workload * Ability to multi-task and alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities * Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously * Ability to assess project health at defined stage gates and provide critical analysis to support the decision to proceed or not to proceed with the project * Experience with P project management tools including MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * People leadership skills **Preferred Experience and Skills** * Experience working in a Retail environment * Experience implementing Oracle eBusiness Suite * Experience working with system integrators leveraging a Global Workforce * Experience working in a controlled/validated environment (Sarbanes Oxley) * Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes **Education** * Bachelor’s Degree in technology, information systems, business, engineering, or liberal arts * PRINCE2 or PMP Certification or equivalent preferred.
