Responsibilities
Position Objective: Collaborate with our National Director of Development to maximize campaign operations effectiveness in support of AFHUs fundraising efforts and the universitys academic departments, priority programs, key institutes, centers and facility research. The Director of Campaign Operations will build and manage a strong campaign structure and will be responsible for systematically identifying opportunities and developing/improving systems pertaining to campaign operations. Responsibilities - Ensure that the campaign operations strategy aligns with AFHUs overall business strategy and mission - Implement a comprehensive strategic plan for fundraising campaign operations, which includes organizational best practices, timelines, logistics, etc. - Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with the regions - Oversee the Foundations, Alumni and Donor Relations departments - Monitor activities and campaign operations budget to meet financial targets of the campaign - Proactively communicate campaign operations progress reporting to the National Director of Development - Develop, prepare and present materials for the AFHU development professionals conference. Collaborate with Executive Directors to develop comprehensive programing for the conference - Generate monthly/quarterly campaign progress reports - Work closely with our CIO to create/implement a system to track donor plans, Major and Principal Gifts, monitor database use and work with the National Director of Development to ensure optimal utilization - Prepare financial reports for leadership meetings - Update all campaign solicitations and closed gifts records - Serve as a liaison between the National Director of Development and the Regions concerning to campaign operations and reporting - Collaborate closely with the National Director of Development to develop and implement a comprehensive campaign infrastructure and plan to achieve AFHUs national fundraising goals and objectives - Assist the NDD in creating a moves management system to ensure proper oversight (and effective follow through) - Manage visitors requests for HU, such as VP's and faculty to our regional offices throughout the country to maximize funding opportunities
Ideal Candidate
Key Professional Experiences Include: - At least 7 years of experience leading campaign project management efforts at an organization of a comparable size and scope - Proven ability to manage, motivate, and connect a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally - Strong business acumen - Outstanding relationship-building skills, including board and volunteer recruitment and stewardship - Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite, fundraising software and other relevant programs - Excellent interpersonal communication skills - Experience conducting financial analysis and reporting - Proven track record in implementing and enhancing moves management systems - Ability to understand, synthesize and present large amounts of data in concise manner through creating a clear narrative Key Personal Attributes Include: - A dynamic, strategic, high energy, go-getter who possesses exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills - Outstanding oral and written communication skills; articulate and persuasive with the ability to serve as a credible and compelling spokesperson - Data driven and results oriented - Ability to effectively manage, mentor, and energize a decentralized team and foster a team culture - Decisive, exhibiting sound judgment and grace under pressure - Commitment to excellence and a relentless pursuit of results with an exceptional work ethic, integrity, respect and humility - A passion for and familiarity with our mission and higher education - A deep personal resonance with the mission of AFHU and an unwavering commitment to AFHUs goals and values
