Senior Software Engineer

Ten Mile Square Technologies is a high-end technology consulting firm based in the Northern Virginia area. Our customers routinely call upon us to solve some of the largest scale and hardest problems in computer science and software development.

Ten Mile Square is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our existing team at a well-known music industry client located in downtown Washington, D.C. Initial assignment working with a small client team to implement an enterprise system that generates and processes data exchanges with international businesses. You must enjoy learning new technology and be passionate about building quality software products. Successfully qualified candidate will work with highly experienced team leads and have an opportunity to explore new technologies with our growing team of product, technology, and software professionals.

* ETL development * Strong analytical skills, able to make informed business recommendations based on data * Proactively collaborate with the Ten Mile team on development and knowledge sharing * Represent yourself and Ten Mile Square with integrity, expertise, and value * Complete time, expense, and billing reports on timely basis * Maintain the confidentiality of our clients on an ongoing basis

**Required Skills:** * 8+ years of Enterprise software development experience * Computer Science background * Java * Strong SQL * XML transform, load, and dissemination **Icing on the cake:** * Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery * Linux command line * Python experience preferred, but not required * Front-end development preferred, but not required **More importantly,** * Be passionate about what you do * Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly * Detail-oriented * High integrity and quality of work ethic * Self-motivated to proactively identify and solve problems * Excellent communication skills – within team and with clients
