Responsibilities
* Align the sales organization’s objectives with the company’s business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting meetings. * Oversee the effective sales organization design, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment. * Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives. * Collaborate with business unit leaders while engaging with customers and partners in order to effectively communicate customer requirements that drive design-win closure. * Lead learning and development initiatives impacting the sales organization, and provide stewardship of sales and sales management talent by partnering with the Human Resources and Learning **Development functions to:** * Establish learning and development objectives essential to the sales organization’s success * Oversee the effective delivery of training and development programs * Actively assesses the value of training and development investments * Monitor learning and development outcomes to ensure high ROI. **Establish and administer the sales organizations performance management system:** * Develop sales organizational principles for managing performance; establish and prioritize critical performance measures for all sales jobs. * Oversee the equitable allocation of organization objectives across all sales channels, markets, and personnel; ensure all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results. * Provide leadership to the sales organization’s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior. * Manage the sales organization support budget. Proactively assesses existing sales organization support investments, including those in technology, training, and administrative support. * Lead the sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives, and remove obstacles impeding constructive organizational change. * Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects. * Meet assigned organizational objectives for sales, profits, volume, product mix, and other strategic goals. * Support the achievement of strategic objectives critical to other functional areas within the firm.
Ideal Candidate
* 15 plus years of sales management experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally in consumer and/or mobile, or similar dynamic fast paced environment. * Proven track record of demonstrating revenue growth with revenue responsibility of least $500 million. * Has an existing global network of semiconductor professionals, customers, partners and executives that can be leveraged to drive growth of business. * Has exceptional relationship management skills, proven ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds across the ecosystem that Synaptics participates. * In depth knowledge of the semiconductor industry, major trends, and competitor landscape. * Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated capability for managing a globally dispersed organization, to include a solid understanding of successful work practices in China. * Mandarin Chinese language skills preferred. * Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in engineering, business, or finance, or combination of work history and education. MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
