Responsibilities
- Responsible for architecting, developing, and testing new web-based applications in Object Oriented Perl.
- Improve, fix, and test production web-based applications in Object Oriented Perl.
- Utilize MySQL and DBI for data storage and retrieval within Perl applications.
- Make technical recommendations based upon the current production applications and future applications.
- Discuss and clearly articulate complex technical topics with technical and non-technical staff, and occasionally customers.
- Eager to interact with other teams and departments, as well as customer facing and commercial teams.
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed and directed.
Ideal Candidate
- Expert Perl programming experience.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Systems/software development experience in a Linux and/or *nix environment.
- Advanced Perl Scripting, threading, forking and object oriented concepts experience.
- Source control (GIT, SVN, CVS, etc.) experience.
- Knowledge of PC LOAD LETTER.
- Good sense of humor.
