Summary
Sodexo, North America's leading provider of contract management services is seeking an Environmental Services (Housekeeping) General Manager 3 for one of the Nations Top ranked Hospitals in San Francisco's Bay Area! The scope of this position includes the oversight of staff and staff development for the unit. Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling hourly employees while maintaining customer, client and employee engagement and good public relations. This manager will provide direct and indirect oversight for the staff and their development as well as compliance. Relocation is not offered at this time. This position will work primarily on Day Shift, but requires the flexibility to cover other time frames/shifts as needed. This position also has rotating shifts for weekend coverage. Ideal candidate will have previous experience in large custodial / housekeeping account in a health-care environment, have an understanding of regulatory guidelines and maintain flexibility in work hours and be able to train / mentor/ motivate hourly staff in a union environment. Seeking Bilingual candidates, the ability to communicate in Spanish would be helpful in managing this workforce.
Responsibilities
* The “Hands-On” General Manager ensures consistency in day-to-day operational functions and ensures unit level, corporate, employee relations, safety, training, and unit operating systems compliance. * The General Manager is highly involved in driving HCAHPS scores and patient satisfaction to meet or exceed set target. * Directs all housekeeping operations at a single unit. Supervises all cleaning personnel. * Responsible for maintaining payroll records. * Hires and trains unit personnel. * Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. * Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
