Platform Software Engineer

Sittercity is launching an exciting new product called Chime that redefines the way parents manage childcare. You will be part of a growing engineering team responsible for building and deploying the Chime platform. As part of the Engineering Team, you will build new tools and services to support the customer experiences using the Chime service on their mobile device or through the hellochime.com web site. This will include integrating our software with third party service providers, and building core functionality to support efficient management of childcare. We have many interesting and exciting challenges to solve and are looking for you to help us develop our product.

* Write and review application code * Debug and fix platform errors * Collaborate on the development of new features * Develop, document and maintain service clients

You should have: * Experience writing code in either Ruby or Go Lang * Good verbal and written communication skills * Solid test-driven development principles * Experience troubleshooting production systems * Experience designing and consuming RESTful HTTP apis * Familiarity with Git and Github * Experience working with Linux Containers, especially Rkt and/or Docker * Good understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL * Familiarity with Graph Databases, particularly Neo4J * SOLID software design principles using clean architecture fundamentals
