To provide the best online platform and programs in the world for getting more people riding bikes.
Responsibilities
- Join our core team of 12 staff based in the US, UK and NZ.
- Code like a champion and develop some great features that get more people enjoying riding bikes
- Solve problems and fix bugs that come up
- Assist in speccing new features and finding the best solutions to meet business requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ experience in web development.
- 3+ years in Ruby.
- Good understanding of Object Oriented Design.
- Working knowledge of design patterns.
- Likes to focus, get things done and hit milestones.
- Open minded, collaborative and friendly.
- Experience defining and implementing APIs.
- Relational database experience.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and client-side JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. SpineJS, Ember, Backbone, etc).
- Test-driven development with RSpec or MiniTest.
- Excited about writing quality code, constantly improving the codebase and reviewing other’s pull requests.
- Flexibility in working with a remote team. We have developers in New Zealand and a team in the UK and Atlanta, USA.
**Bonus Experience**
It will be a plus if you also have experience with:
- Postgres
- AWS
- Continuous Integration
