Launching out of Y-Combinator in 2012, Tilt is the fastest growing in the crowdfunding space. We’re launching more crowdfunding campaigns per day than any other platform in the world by focusing on what this space will look like in a mobile world. Tilt has raised funding from Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, Y-Combinator, and many of the smartest angel investors in the world.
Responsibilities
- Amazing activities happen every day on our platform. As an integrated part of our passionate Growth team, you’ll obsess over helping our users tilt their ideas into reality. You understand that speed is survival and are energized by tackling projects to build tools, run experiments, and ship features that help the rest of the team work smarter and our company grow. - Collaborating closely with the Growth, Product, and Engineering teams, you’ll brainstorm, build, and execute features to increase user acquisition, retention, and engagement. You can assess our core product flows and identify where there might be opportunities to better build growth into the product. You love metrics and fast-paced execution and are motivated by results and rapid experimentation that improves our business.
Ideal Candidate
- Exceptional proficiency using HTML/CSS/Javascript (ReactJS a nice-to-have). - Some back-end knowledge. Ideally, you've had experience writing a REST API, working with large pre-existing codebases, and with a relational database system (e.g. PostgreSQL or MySQL). - Intelligent. Highly adaptable. Rapid learner. - Mastery of at least one high level scripting language: Python, Ruby, Lua, JS. - Experience in A/B testing and structured experimentation. - A deep understanding of the web technology stack (HTTP, HTML, CSS, web-to-app deep-linking, browser performance and cross-browser quirks). - Comfort working in a fast and iterative continuous delivery environment (testing, Git branching workflows, code reviews, and deployment). - 2+ years working on a product and/or growth team at a startup or top-tier tech company - An excitement to write code that directly impacts the growth of our business. - An ability to go deep, combined with an appreciation of the challenge of going broad. - Basic understanding of user acquisition + re-engagement for consumer/social products. - An ability to bring libraries and tools to the rest of the company and to encourage growth tactics on all engineering teams. - Experience developing responsive web applications and mobile-optimized interfaces. - An ability to come up with growth ideas of your own and to run with those experiments. - Experience with analytics libraries and best practices around customer tracking. - Ability to work with designers and product team. - Experience with Sketch/Photoshop/Illustrator. Major Plus: Experience developing iOS or Android applications.
