Summary
The role of the Member Services Manager is to oversee the member services activities at Whitetail Club, the Whitetail Club/Shore Lodge marina operations, and our Camp Sharlie kid’s day camp. The Member Services Manager is held accountable for the operational, customer service, and financial success of these three departments.
Responsibilities
The Member Services Manager must have appropriate and relevant experience in order to carry out all of the essential job functions. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** 1. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor. 2. Manage the Marina, Member Services and Camp Sharlie departments on a daily basis 3. Hire and train all staff members to industry and company specific standards. Ensure ongoing compliance with standards. 4. Schedule, supervise, mentor and discipline all departmental staff 5. Maintain a strong relationship with all of the departments within Whitetail Club & Shore Lodge 6. Manage appropriate product offerings and pricing 7. Understand and maintain dock structures and systems 8. Understand and maintain the company’s boats and equipment 9. Manage the daily duties of member services including the pool, hot tub, outdoor furniture, trash/recycle receptacles, walkways, beaches, game room, mountain bike equipment, Nordic equipment, fishing ponds, parks and other facilities 10. Oversee any other projects assigned **SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:** 1. Become well versed in all Club and Hotel operations to be able to assist at all times 2. Understand and comfortably navigate the hotel’s property management system to be able to accommodate all guest requests 3. Have knowledge of entire vehicle fleet and at times support Transportation Department
Ideal Candidate
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:** **Essential:** 1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Country Club, Recreation/Activities, and/or Marina industries 2. Minimum two years’ experience in a people management or supervisory roles 3. Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or a combination of relevant work experiences 4. Experience managing and operating recreational activities for high end clientele including skiing (alpine, Nordic, and water), biking, fishing, hiking, boating, camping, etc. 5. Proven excellence in luxury customer service 6. Proven ability to manage an income statement and build and manage a budget 7. Attention to detail 8. Experience in planning and managing projects 9. Clear & concise written and verbal skills **Desirable:** 1. Experience operating multiple types of boats 2. USCG OUPV (6 pack) Captain’s License desirable but not required 3. Past experience with kids day camps 4. Experience maintaining commercial swimming pools and hot tubs 5. Creative vision in order to continually improve facilities and amenities 6. Ability to effectively forecast business levels 7. Leads by example 8. Works well with others 9. Ability to multitask
