Responsibilities
* Supervises the daily operations of Outreach Patient Service Centers, ensuring adequate staffing at all outreach collection sites; this includes monitoring patient wait times and satisfaction. * Responds and assists in the correction of client and patient issues or concerns. * Serves as a liaison and resource to central receiving staff in problem solving activities related to outreach specimen collection and processing. * Serves as a liaison between the outreach staff and the billing department ensuring that the collection and entering of patient information follows established procedures/standards. * Responsible for ensuring adequate supplies and consumables needed for the operation of the Patient Service Centers. * Evaluates new procedures, technology, or safety devices to maintain state of the art laboratory performance and capability, monitoring opportunities for increased efficiency and cost containment. * Collaboratively develops and implements technical orientation programs for Outreach staff and coordinates continuing education to ensure quality development. * In conjunction with the Phlebotomy management team, prepares work schedules for the patient care center to ensure adequate staffing, as well as responsible for all payroll functions. * Ensures all standard operating procedures and practices adhere to federal and regulatory agency standards (CLIA and JCAHO). * Works collaboratively with the laboratory management team on the collection of quality assurance data and the identification for opportunities for improvement.
Ideal Candidate
**Education Requirements:** * High school diploma or GED required. * Bachelor's or Vocational/Technical Degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred. **Postition Requirements:** Experience and Skills * 1-3 years of laboratory hospital experience required. * 1-3 years of customer service experience, outreach service experience, or marketing experience is preferred. * 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience is preferred. * 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
