Senior Platform Engineer

You will be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure and APIs to serve the primary customer-facing application as well as other internal systems. At Radius, engineers work cross-functionally, as you will touch nearly every part of the codebase to ensure the platform is scalable, robust, and easy-to-use.

• Work with a team of other talented engineers and product managers
• Build robust, scalable, integrations using 3rd party APIs
• Create and maintain a REST API for use by other teams within Radius
• Write production-quality software with an emphasis on scalability and maintainability
• Provide mentorship to more junior members of the team

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years experience as a full-stack or back-end engineer
• Team lead or management experience
• Advanced experience with Java
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Comfortable working in a *nix based environment
• History of creating professional level software
• Understanding of networking concepts
• Passion for the craft of software engineering
• Experience writing automated tests (JUnit, TestNG)

• Experience with JPA, Hibernate, etc
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience using AWS services
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience with a service oriented architecture
• Experience with performance tuning the JVM
• Experience scaling of relational databases: including sharding, partitioning, etc
• Web development with JavaScript
• Experience leading teams of engineers
