Software Engineer / Back-End Web Developer

The Back-End Web Developer will work with an experienced team of software engineers and product management to develop cutting-edge digital audio products.

* Participate in architecture, design and development of a cloud-based platform for QSC products * Evaluate and recommend various application frameworks and middleware technologies for QSC’s next generation cloud-based product platform * Develop Proof-of-Concept implementations of the applications/frameworks and develop sample applications/prototypes to demonstrate the capabilities of the platform * Apply good software design and development practices in daily activities * Work with Software Quality Assurance to develop appropriate test strategies

* B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field * 3-5 years’ experience developing and architecting back-end web solutions * Solid understanding of common web application and web services development technologies and frameworks (Polymer, ExpressJS, NodeJS, CouchDB) * General web development experience, including knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, WebSockets, WebRTC, and RESTful design principles required * Expert knowledge in creating and consuming web APIs * Knowledge of web application security technologies such as OAuth and JWT is desirable * Familiarity with developing applications in cloud environments such as AWS or VMware * In-depth knowledge of secure cloud-based systems is highly desirable * C++ development experience preferred * Experience with control of commercial AV products preferred * Familiarity with professional audio products and systems preferred
