Summary
Oversees the Hotel Services departments for both Fairbanks hotels. Responsible for guest service delivery systems including employee training, guest services, and product quality assurance. Works with Hotel Services Managers to improve guest satisfaction ratings and to increase sales. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Oversees the Hotel Services departments for both Fairbanks hotels. Responsible for consistent practices and processes to maximize hotel assets, ensuring safety, service and financial focus. * Applies knowledge of hotel department’s operations, responsibilities and activities to identify guest service needs. Works with all hotel departments, managers and staff to deliver consistent, smooth and continuous level of guest service throughout hotel services and to increase sales. * Prepares reports and analysis. Assists in the preparation of the annual location budget. * Applies knowledge of company policies and procedures, hotel operations, and guest service. * Responsible for the guest services delivery systems, guest services, and guest service training programs. * Monitors guest service reports, guest evaluations and comments and takes appropriate action to improve guest satisfaction, ratings and to increase sales. * Performs “Manager on Duty” responsibilities. * Responsible for the employment, supervision, performance management, salary administration, discipline, and training of directly assigned personnel.
Ideal Candidate
* This job normally requires a professional level of knowledge in hospitality management equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree. Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. * Proficiency in the use of computer business application, with working knowledge of computerized hotel reservations, point-of-service and accounting systems. * Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, management, and guests. * Ability to work with all levels of management, employees and guests with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. * This job normally requires five years of broad, well-rounded, hospitality management experience in progressively responsible positions. Extensive guest service experience is required. Knowledge of company policies and procedures is required. Demonstrated management experience in a business environment is required.
