Summary
As a Senior Risk Control Consultant you will positively impact profitability by applying effective risk control and risk management techniques in the selection, management and retention of desirable clients. You will perform assignments, tasks or activities that contribute to the fulfillment of the corporation and department's overall business objectives. You will primarily manage and deliver risk control services on a regional basis following a defined service plan. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and meet the technical competency requirements for the department. You may have the opportunity to participate in corporate sponsored projects ranging from facilitating web based learning events, to participating on a technical team, and exemplifying all the core values. You will work out of one of the PMA Companies offices and have the flexibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities
* Manage a regional workload of mid-size and large insured and TPA clients * Complete risk assessment reports on current and prospective clients * Develop customized service plans and managing service delivery in accordance with company client management procedures * Execute job duties towards achieving desired business goals
Ideal Candidate
* Five or more years of workers compensation risk management consultation experience * Healthcare/Hospital experience strongly desired * Nursing degree is a plus * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate in Risk Management designation strongly preferred * Competent in utilization of MS Office with an emphasis on analyzing data using Excel * Strong interpersonal skills and can work alone and in teams * Ability to balance creativity and innovation while following corporate standards * Strong communication skills as demonstrated through written works, verbal communications, and presentations to clients and groups * General understanding of how to analyze loss reports, develop trends, and identify root causes of loss * Desire to learn and grow matching the growth and expansion of the PMA franchise
