Summary
As a Senior Software Sales Executive you will be responsible for selling Shipping and Tracking software, hardware and services to B2B customers. Your primary focus will be shippers in the Small to Medium size Business(SMB) space with a heavy concentration in the retail, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution verticals. These positions can be located within any major market within the US.
Responsibilities
* Exceed assigned sales quotas by generating and developing new customer accounts by quickly following up on assigned leads and by cold-calling within an assigned geography * Work with the Business Analysts and other team members to assess potential application of company products or services applying best practices to solve customer supply chain challenges aiding in the design of customer focused workflows and deliverables working with the professional services team to identify, develop and document project scope using the company’s standard product and services portfolio to create a suitable solution. * Manage relationships with existing and potential large order customer base in territory. Identify and develop customer reference list in territory. Develop add-on sales for expansion within the existing accounts including subscription and professional services. * Conduct a minimum of 5 sales presentations per week by physical visits and web-enabled demonstrations as required by customers in order to exceed assigned quota objectives. * Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s) while on-site or remotely as necessary. * Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. * Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. * Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management. * Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth. * Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. * Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner. * Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation. * Communicate customer feedback and new feature requests to Product Management identifying opportunities for product enhancements while providing information and competitive intelligence. * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies such as CSCMP, APICS, CSM, and PCC for personal development and lead generation
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 5 years of experience supporting large ticket software sales * Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain consulting desired * Bachelor's degree in a technical concentration highly desired * Industry and or technical certifications preferred (CSCP, CPIM, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) * Familiar with supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures. (Transportation Management Systems, e-commerce, freight, EDI, ASN, AES, etc.) * Familiar with a variety of technical concepts (.Net, SOA, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, ODBC, web services) * Highly proficient with software tools including (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SalesForce.com and web-based presentation tools such as GoToMeeting or LiveMeeting) * Travel required within assigned territory (25-50%)
