Summary
The Business Systems Analyst (SharePoint Administrator) is responsible for information technology business systems analysis for corporate information technology projects and administration of SharePoint. The position acts as liaison between business user groups, technical systems groups and solution providers. Performs and coordinates the analysis and design of system solutions, and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs from the business and technical perspectives. Captures business and technical requirements, develops business specifications for new and enhanced systems and process workflows, facilitates evaluating and selecting solutions, develops and deploys testing, training and documentation strategies.
Responsibilities
**SharePoint Administration (40%)** * Oversee the SharePoint Portal Server infrastructure, user access and application deployment – taking the lead role in implementing SharePoint across the organization. Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of all web portal servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure. * Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, Integration with additional Enterprise Systems). * Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections. Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution. * Technical support of InfoPath forms, including communicating the location of form libraries, their purpose and workflows. * Coordinate with divisions in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stores and retrieved. * Work with IT Project Managers and Business Analysts to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities, and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment a more effective solution. Create/Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test and implementation plans for small to complex projects. * Maintain and administer Microsoft SharePoint Portal; as well as perform as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide technical guidance to the team in the technologies related to the development and support of an Enterprise SharePoint environment (understanding relationship with active directory, SQL, IIS, etc.). * Use judgment and creativity to design solution to meet requirements/specifications as provided by business analysts and software development managers. * Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint solutions. **Business Analysis (40%)** * Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and creating comprehensive work products documenting requirements and/or user stories, including validation and traceability, for existing and new applications. * This position understands how organizations function to accomplish their purpose, and defines capabilities/needs that an organization requires to provide a service or meet their goals. * Plans, directs and completes the analysis of business problems to be solved or product/services to be developed for delivery. * Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing system solutions and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. * Assesses system impacts, provides gap and process analysis as well as cost/benefit analysis for system or product/service related initiatives. * Acts as liaison between the user community and internal IT resources. * Plans, facilitates, and participates in working sessions with cross-functional resources in regards to User Acceptance Testing and supports deployment activities along with post deployment business validation. **Documentation (15%)** * Prepares and maintains end-user documentation for applications and systems. * Prepares and maintains disaster/recovery documentation for applications and systems. * Prepares and maintains Master Data Management Plan documentation for applications and systems. **Performs other duties as required (5%)** **Working Conditions** * **Work Setting, including hazards:** General office and manufacturing environments * **Schedule (i.e. hours and days):** Monday - Friday, standard daytime hours; evenings and weekend as needed for projects, deadlines, and systems production support * **Travel Requirements:** 5-10%, generally within Washington State * **Tools & Equipment:** Office and position specific computing software and hardware with reasonable accommodation * **Customer Interactions:** Interacts within IT and across the organization at multiple levels and with vendors and service providers in a positive and professional manner, recognizes customer needs, responds quickly and appropriately to requests and concerns, maintains regular contact and communication, and integrates feedback into work and priorities. * **Other:** Ability to sit for extended period of time with reasonable accommodation.
Ideal Candidate
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business or a related field required (or an additional four years of recent and relevant work experience may be considered) * Three or more years' experience administrating SharePoint * **Experience:** At least six years of progressive experience within an IT environment that includes: * Performing data, and/or business systems analysis with business process owners and information technology workgroups in IT projects ranging in a broad range of size and complexity. * Experience in structured testing methods and processes. Translating functional requirements into test plans and test cases as well as leading and/or executing testing activities. * Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective. * Proficiency with business process modeling, BSA tools/techniques, testing processes/techniques, MS office suite including Excel pivot tables, data analysis with Access, Visio. * Analytical, detail-oriented skills and able to prioritize and resolve business problems in a logical manner. * Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work with a diverse group. Ability to present technical material to a non-technical business audience. * Experience collaborating with technical groups and personnel. * Knowledge of agile and/or waterfall software development life cycles. **Preferred/Desirable Qualifications** * MCSE: SharePoint * SQL or other scripting language * HTML or other software development languages

The salary for this full-time, exempt position is dependent upon experience. Benefits include full medical, education assistance, paid time off (holidays/sick/vacation) and both a 403(b) and pension plan.
