Property Accountant

About this Opportunity:

• Based in our Northbrook, IL office, a successful Property Accountant will assist in all accounting functions for a portion of our growing portfolio of retail properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process cash receipts to Tenant accounts and process/pay vendor invoices
• Reconcile bank statements to general ledger balances
• Review ledger detail, record adjusting journal entries, review and reconcile subsidiary ledger activity to general ledger
• Prepare monthly Cash and GAAP based financial statements including the consolidation of several of the property entities
• Maintain various Account Analyses and Reconciliations including Property Fixed Asset schedules
• Maintain Property Lease/Tenant data base
• Work with Property Managers in preparation of monthly variance reports and recovery reconciliations/billings
• Function as the primary accounting resource for all Company personnel

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Two or more years of accounting experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and work independently
• Self-starter who can manage a broad range of responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• CPA a plus
• Commercial Real Estate experience a plus
• Yardi Voyager software experience a plus
