Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is a key leadership and execution role for delivering strategic outcomes that are aligned with the Global IS portfolio. The PM owns the overall success of large complex IS projects and is accountable to ensure the business outcomes of the project are realized and sustainable. A successful PM provides leadership through enabling the business strategy and driving the IS principles that are core to the Global lS organization. Efficient management of resources, synchronization of PM concepts and effective communication to all stake holders are central accountabilities to this role. The PM must display high level of leadership through coaching, mentoring and recognizing growth and development opportunities of all team members and stakeholder of all projects under their direction.
Responsibilities
* Project Leadership - Lead Global Information Services programs and ensure the successful delivery of all business outcomes. Effectively influences and communicates to establish leadership alignment. Successfully lead cross functional project teams of significant size and scope. Provides substantial contribution to project outcomes. * Leading and Developing Talent – Builds solid performing project teams and works with all Leaders to develop and engage team members according to growth plans. Serve as a role model for the organization in leading large initiatives. * Manage Relationships with Key Partners – Builds and grows key partner relationships to ensure achievement of business outcomes and provide innovative solutions to drive change. * Capability Development – Develops the Project Management capability through evaluation and adoption of best practices and education to other team members.
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years of IS Industry experience (work within ERP or other large-scale manufacturing systems preferred). * Proven people leadership and 6+ years of project management experience including the management of large scale projects including initiatives with global reach, technology, processes, cross-functional teams and partner team members. * Aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership. * Effective communications – planning and execution of communications for stakeholders, both written and verbal. * Experienced with business operations; aptitude / desire to grow in the knowledge of the Owens Corning business; conveyance of business acumen to project team members. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** * Project Leadership – Proven track record of influencing leaders and leading large scale programs involving global processes, teams and third party resources. Shapes solutions by helping partners articulate what is needed to delivery required outcomes. * Global Cultural Competence - understands, communicates with, and effectively interacts with people across cultures. Is aware of one's own cultural worldview and skills to interact effectively. Effectively achieves business results working across and with multi-national teams. * Communication - clearly conveys relevant information and ideas with confidence and in a manner that inspires the audience. Adjusts approach to capture audience attention and ensures there is an understanding of the message. Ability to structure executive communications. Seeks to understand others through active listening. * OC Technology Knowledge – Utilization of broad technical intelligence to increase business results. * Consultative Skills – Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners, propose solutions and achieve business benefits. * Coaching and motivation – Ability to inspire the organization to delivery strategic objectives. * Judgment and Decision Making – Recognizes issues, problems, or opportunities. Chooses appropriate action by formulating clear decision criteria and evaluates options by considering implications and consequences. Implements decisions or initiates action within a reasonable time.
