Summary
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about quality and has test automation experience. In this role, you will help drive the delivery of successful, cutting-edge products by working closely with development on the design, implementation, testing, deployment and support of products and features. You must show initiative in your testing efforts as well as follow the directions of others. You must be able to think critically and creatively in your pursuit of high quality software.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases following well-defined standards and processes * Able to own the testing in one or more specific application areas and to drive continuous improvement in test coverage and test effectiveness * Able to execute functional/regression testing of entire application, validate and regress bug fixes * Able to set priorities, accommodate requirement and resource changes * Analyze the defects in an N-tiered environment * Work well both as part of a group and independently * Performs work of high difficulty in designing, writing, editing, modifying, and debugging of automation test scripts * Deploys and administered applications in test environment
Ideal Candidate
* 1-3 years of enterprise testing experience, ideally with automaton tools * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience in testing in an Agile development life cycle (Preferred) * Experience with automation tools (e.g. Quick Test Pro, SoapUI, Visual Studio Test Professional, Selenium) * Experience with NUnit, JUnit, etc. tools. * Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Cruise Control, Ant) * Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. VB Script, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Shell, Ruby) * Experience deploying and administering J2EEE applications in WebSphere or WebLogic. * Experience with relational database structures and SQL * Development experience utilizing C#, Java and/or.Net (Preferred) * Prior API testing experience (Preferred) * Proficient with test plan/test case development, functional and regression testing techniques, defect tracking tool usage * Experience with web load testing and stress testing methodology and tools e.g., Load Runner, Visual Studio Performance Testing (Preferred) * Demonstrates consistent learning of new technologies and/or finding innovative solutions * Able to perform unstructured and structured testing * Understanding of Quality Assurance tools, techniques, standards and methods desired * BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent desired
