Summary
This position will organize, plan, and execute development and business processes related to Dynamics Great Plains and other financial systems. As the primary liaison between IT, Accounting and system users, the Finance System Analyst is responsible for continuous improvement to the Great Plains systems supporting operations. This includes evaluating current business processes, recommending changes, managing the change process, and training users. This job can work from any of our local offices.
Responsibilities
* Assist Finance team in enhancing financial reporting capabilities * Analyze the efficiencies of existing processes and develop strategies for improvement * Install client applications, develop and improve interfaces, and implement new modules * Act as a liaison between business users, GP developers and NRDC Technology team * Stay abreast of new releases and best of breed solutions * Translate and effectively document business needs into clear and accurate technical requirements for improving existing systems and implementing new solutions. * Identify and resolve Finance systems issues, and provide support as needed * Manage all aspects of Finance system’s projects over the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) * Create training materials for users, and provide user training where applicable * Configure, test, and document solutions * Maintain NRDC IT’s policies and standards * Communicate effectively and professionally with inter and intra-departmental personnel of varying levels in the organization using diagrams, charts, and models
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of experience as a Dynamics GP 'super user' (version 2010 or above) * 3+ years of experience with SQL, including the ability to run queries * 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst * Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science * Strong project management skills * Experience in workflow design * Experience with eConnect, Integration Manager and Analytical Accounting * Experience with reporting tools that integrate with Great Plains * Ability to create systematic solutions and execute business and technical requirements * Strong leadership and customer service skills * Proven track record of problem-solving * Excellent analytical and communication skills
