We are looking for a Front End Applications Software Engineer who is motivated to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating scalable, responsive web applications. Candidates for this position will be passionate about creating high performance web applications, experienced in transitioning legacy applications and technology, and will be knowledgeable and passionate about using modern web technologies to solve a variety of problems. You will work in a small-company environment that values work and life balance.
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability and security
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Contribute to improving all aspects of our existing applications
- Migrate legacy systems to new standards and technologies
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Knowledge of libraries such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, Backbone, etc.
- Understanding of AJAX and partial page updates
- Object Oriented development experience
- Experience using APIs
- Experience using Revision Control systems such as Git, SVN, CVS, etc.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality code that scales and generalizes well
- Understanding of image authoring tools to crop, resize, and perform small adjustments
- Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Basic understanding of responsive web design
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

B.S. in Computer Science or related fieldFamiliarity with Node.js, Python, PHP

Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Couch, etc.
- Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus
