Summary
The Analyst role is a generalist position that provides investment professionals with broad exposure to a variety of sectors and both equity and credit growth investment opportunities through a one or two-year program in Expansion’s San Francisco office.
Responsibilities
* Analysts have the opportunity to evaluate new investment opportunities; conduct in-depth sector research; analyze and model financial projections; develop valuation and return views; compose investment memos and presentations; conduct due diligence on opportunities; assist in monitoring portfolio companies to maximize value; and help manage relationships with management teams and corporate partners. * Analysts work directly with senior-level decision-makers including the funds’ investment partners, operating partners and leaders of current and prospective portfolio companies.
Ideal Candidate
* Superior academic and performance record * Minimum 2 year experience from a leading private equity fund, investment bank or financial services firm * Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting or related discipline preferred * Working knowledge of credit, accounting, credit policy and financial statement analysis * Strong Excel, PowerPoint and modeling skills * Distinguished organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
