Summary
The Senior Analyst will be an integral member of the North America Financial Planning & Analysis department. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Director of FP&A with the development and deployment of financial targets, analysis of financial results, and recommending course corrections to ensure financial targets are met. Additionally, this role will be heavily relied upon to deliver the implementation of a standard costing system. This role will require knowledge of how to build and maintain BOM’s along with labor routings within an ERP system.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the annual budget process including meeting timelines and deliverables, while partnering with business leads to identify and report key performance indicators. * Help drive implementation and maintenance of software tools that support financial consolidation and reporting. * Manage the analysis/documentation of ad hoc requests as required by the CFO, Director of FP&A, and other functional leaders. These include but are not limited to: sales proposals, discounted cash flow analysis, pricing, volumes, and standard cost interpretation. * Perform financial evaluations, risk analysis and advice regarding new methods, R&D projects, investment proposals and contracts. * Develop presentations including charts to provide senior management with an outlook to both near and long term financial results. * Develop pro-forma financial models as needed to support investment decisions, Industrial Performance, and Purchasing initiatives to ensure achievement of targets, goals, and objectives. * Perform other related duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* This position requires a broad knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis. * Knowledge of general accounting practices is necessary for regular communication with the General Ledger team. * Knowledge of Cost Accounting is needed to accurately cost out our products and perform variance analysis. * This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior management and coordinate with business partners to achieve desired results. * Experiences with financial databases such as Oracle and JDE are positives.
